Flight Disruptions - UK Security Alert
Next information will be at 18:30hrs
1. Delays at Stansted Airport continue and are being exacerbated by aircraft congestion on the ramp and security delays in the terminal (see below hand baggage restrictions*).
Due to these ongoing security delays, we are have been forced to cancel further flights departing from London Stansted this evening and due to continuing security restrictions tomorrow morning, a number of flights departing from Stansted (Friday 11th August) will be cancelled.
Further cancellations may occur and these will be advised, via this website and emailed to passengers directly. See below for current list of cancelled flights.
2. Flights from other UK airports continue to be delayed and may lead to flight cancellations later today.
3. Flights between non UK airports are now suffering delays due to the aircraft being delayed on earlier flights operating into Stansted Airport.

Flights can be changed, via this link up to the 14/08/2006.
Customers can rebook to travel on flights, subject to availability, up to the 18/10/2006.

*Hand Baggage Restrictions - Flights Departing from the UK
The UK Government has advised UK airports that no items of passenger hand baggage may be carried on board any departing flight from any UK airport.
This instruction applies to all airlines operating from UK airports.
Passengers are not permitted to carry the following onboard:
Handbaggage, including ladies handbags, electrical or battery powered items including laptops, mobile phones, ipods, electrial key fobs.
The only items permitted to be carried onboard are the following items:
Travel Documents (passport), Keys (but no electrical key fobs), baby food, milk, sanitary items and prescribed medicines (except in liquid form unless verified as authentic) essential for the duration of the flight.
